The Driverless project of our E-Motion Team pushes racing to a whole new level. We plan, implement and build a race car that completes different challenging tasks in a fully autonomous way.

Autonomous Racing Simulation & Infrastructure Talent

  • Building a virtual representation of the cars functions

  • Implementing and testing algorithms within this environment

  • Setting up software on servers

Autonomous Racing Object Detection Talent

Typical tasks of this responsibility

 

  • Creating robust and efficient detection algorithms

  • Work with car specific hardware like the Nvidia Drive PX2 or LiDAR sensors

  • Machine Learning

  • Work with the race car and set up camera and LiDAR systems

  • Design control loop algorithms for actuation

  • Working on mechanical parts and electronics

  • Design components

  • Work with communication protocols such as UART, CAN, I2C, et cetera

  • Implement control loops for an efficient and robust performance

  • Specify the needs for your system

  • Test your approaches in simulation and with the prototype
